TATA STEEL TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP - 2024
QUALIFYING ROUND PRO-AM CUM MEDAL ROUND FOR GENTLEMEN AND EVES - 30 NOV/01 DEC 2024
Tata Steel Tour Championship - 2024 will be hosted from 17th-22nd Dec 2024. As a curtain raiser to this mega event, PRO-AM will be played on Tuesday 17th Dec'24. Since Amateur spots are limited, a Qualifying Round will be played concurrently with Jamshedpur Medal for Nov/Dec 2024 and top 50 players (43 Gentlemen & 7 Ladies) will be invited to participate in the Pro-Am. Entry fee for playing the Pro-Am shall be Rs 3500/-.
As always, we are expecting top ranking professionals as the PGTI Tour culminates with Tata Steel Tour Championship - 2024, an event that is being hosted by the Umbrella Sponsor of the tour, Tata Steel. Participants will not only play along side some of the top professionals but also be entitled to tournament give-aways, invitation to Pro-Am Nite on 17th Dec'24 and Prize Distribution over luncheon on the Final Day.

Score Submission Compliance
It has already been well communicated that scorecard submission is mandatory after every round. However, it is being observed that some Golfers after completing their round are leaving without submitting their scorecard.
Golfers are requested to adhere to the above mandate, record their correct scores in the scorecard and submit to the course starter before leaving. Co-players have the responsibility to check that their peers have indeed recorded correct scores.

Handicaps roll out based on new course ratings
The Beldih and Golmuri Courses have been rated recently by IGU. After review, it has been decided to roll out the handicaps of all golfers based on the new ratings.
As the two courses are now rated to be easier than earlier, in order to be fair to everyone, it has been decided to run the first handicaps on the new ratings without the additional hard cap restriction of 0.8 on the Handicap Index. For subsequent months, this hard cap shall be in force. Please note that the handicap calculation shall be based on best 8 out of last 20 scorecards.
The roll out of new handicaps shall happen by 15th Aug 2024, before the commencement of Parvez Mehta trophy.

Parvez Mehta Trophy 2024 for Ladies
The tournament will commence on the weekend 17/18 August 2024. Depending upon the number of registrations, a total of 16/32 players (including Byes) will be eligible to participate in the tournament. Last year’s winner will be seeded as #1. Ranking of balance players shall be done via a draw taken out from a hat and acordingly they will be seeded #2 to #16/#32. In case of lesser number of players resulting in inclusion of Byes, the first bye will go to the number 1 seeded player, second bye will go to number 2 seeded player, and so on.

New Guidelines on Scorecard submission
Off late, a lot of discrepancies have been observed in on-line filling of score cards by some of the golfers.
In view of the above, the following guidelines need to be followed:
- Minimum number of players required for filling a score card is 3. Below that the card would not be accepted.
- No electronic filling is accepted & a hard copy of score card duly signed and submitted is deemed to be final & accepted.
- A score card once submitted cannot be retrieved/requested-for to correct/change score/scores.
If the above is not followed disciplinary action may be initiated with temporary suspension of golf membership and / or slashing of handicap.
No letter of warning will be issued for the above breach.
The above is in force and one member has been suspended for the same.

Reciprocal arrangement with Golden Greens Golf Club, Gurgaon
We have a new reciprocal arrangement between Jamshedpur Golf and Golden Greens golf & country club, Gurgaon.
According to the arrangement, a member may use the Golf Club 5 times in a month and 20 times in a year. A prior booking is a must over the weekends.
The member is required to carry his/her membership card to be able to avail the facility.

| Format | To be played in partners format using the Stableford scoring system over 18 holes. Players can choose their partners (of same gender only), but they cannot play together in the same 4-ball. After, registering online, make sure to send in your team entries (your name and your partner's name) to tournaments@jamshedpurgolf.in before the due date. Both partners must have registered before you send your team entry. |
| Tournament Dates | 17th & 18th Feb 2024 February 17 is planned to open with lady golfers and golfers with higher handicaps and February 18 for the guests and lower handicap golfers, though any golfer can choose to play on either day. late tee off option shall be available only to golfers who choose to play on 17th Feb. On 18th Feb all tee offs shall be in the morning hours only. |

| New Prize Category | Most Fun Partners! To celebrate Mr. Raina’s love of the game and the amount of fun he would have on the golf course, we are introducing a new prize category of the Most Fun Partners. We want all the golfers to have fun and take photographs of their escapades. We will judge the most fun pair from the photographs they upload here. We hope that this category makes it an even more enjoyable tournament for everyone, and we all take some of these great photo memories back home with us. |
| Special Request | We request all golfers to please wear a red cap in memory of Mr. Bushen Raina, whose red cap would distinctly be seen on the Golmuri golf course almost every day. |
