Results of JGL VII Knockout Stage 1
Team Tiger's Knights won the fixture against team Flying Sunrisers and has qualified to play the finals on 3rd/4th August.
Team Epic Warriors won the fixture against team Jedi Knights.
QUALIFIER 2 will be played on 27th/28th July between teams Epic Warriors and Flying Sunrisers at the Beldih Golf Course. Winner of Qualifier2 will qualify to play the finals against Tiger's Knights.

For JGL Team Captains
A meeting was held on 17th Feb'24 between the JGL committee and all prospective team captains. Important points of discussions and decisions are as follows.
Tournament Format
JGL VII starts from Sat, 6th April 2024. It shall be played on Match Play basis. For each fixture, opposing teams will field TEN players. Among the matches in a fixture, FOUR matches will be played as 4-Ball Better Ball, and remaining TWO players shall play singles match.
In total SIX matches will be played between two teams in a fixture. For each winning pair or winning single the concerned team shall earn 4 points. In case of a match that ends in a tie, each team will get 2 points. Thus in every fixture a team can earn a maximum of 24 points.
With general consensus, there will not be any partnership alternate shots match. Also, there will not be a continuation game for bonus points.
Handicap
After deliberation, it has been decided to apply the following handicap policy for JGL VII.
On the 1st of every month, starting 1st April 2024, JGL handicap of each golfer shall be released which will be based on the following formula:
JGL Handicap Index for the month = Last 12 months Average Handicap Index or Current Handicap Index, whichever is lower.
Note: The Average Handicap Index will be a moving average and will change every month. Thus there will be no base/frozen index.
Maximum permissible handicap for a player will be 24. Players will be entitled to receive strokes as per handicap difference and Stroke Index.
No. of Players
Each team can consist of a maximum of 15 players. A minimum of 13 players are required to field a team.
There is no restriction on the number of ladies in a team. However, minimum one senior Golfer (60 yrs. & above) is compulsory to be part of each team.
There will be no restriction on the number of games played by each team member. However, to qualify for the Fair Play award, a team must field each player in at least 1 match in the round-robin league.
Each team will be allowed only 1 replacement mid-way, on the condition that the leaving player cannot join another team and the inducted player has not been part of another team.
Prizes
There will be 3 award categories as follows:
- Winner Team
- Runners-up Team
- Fair Play Winner Team
A separate JGL Nite shall be held for the Prize Distribution, immediately following completion of JGL VII.
All other details along with Conditions of Play shall be shared in due course of time.

For JGL Team Captains
Earlier we had put up a notice requesting those Golfers who wish to play JGL and are not in any team, to reach out to the tournament committee. In response, 2 Golfers have expressed their interest to play JGL.
Captains of teams that are falling short of players can contact Rajeev Kumar at 9431117407 to know the names of the 2 Golfers who are available to join a team.

For Golfers wishing to participate in JGL VII
This is for the information of those Golfers who are not in any team and wish to participate in JGL. You may send in your intent to tournaments@jamshedpurgolf.in before 25th Feb 2024. The JGL committee shall act as an enabler to help in the following ways:
- Forward your names to teams that are falling short of players.
- Enable form a group of 13-15 such players who can come together and form a team of their own.

JGL VII Team Registration
Team Owners / Team Captains are requested to register their teams. The Registration Fee of Rs 60,000/- along with name of the team and list of 13-15 members may please be submitted to Beldih Club before 6 PM on 5th March 2024.
